History and Experience
Dr. Selam joined the DRC in 1986 to perform the first US pioneer studies on insulin implantable pumps. Since then more than 200 phase 1-4 diabetic studies have been performed, the majority in the fields of insulin and devices, oral medications, neuropathy and obesity.
The DRC investigators have published over 200 original research articles in the field of diabetes and related diseases, and are regular lecturers in the major Diabetes International meetings.
